Description
Popular and well-known wingback armchair attributed to the Czech designer Miroslav Navrátil. This armchair was designed as part of the world famous Expo exhibition in Brussels in 1958, where the Czechoslovak pavilion was a phenomenal success. The design of this armchair is also attributed to the Czech designer Magda Sépová. It has a high backrest which creates a feeling of comfort and it is made of fiberglass and covered with a fabric which is resiliently glued to this material. Its characteristics are also metal feet, typical of the furniture design of the mid-20th century. The armchair is in original condition, the fabric shows signs of wear and age in some places and defects in the upholstery.
